Joyce found BAG IT by way of yoga, literally. After meeting BAG IT founder Sherri Romanoski while attempting a tree pose in a yoga class, she was immediately taken by the mission and stepped up to help Fight the Fear of a cancer diagnosis. Namaste . . .
Volunteer & Event Coordinator
As the Volunteer & Event Coordinator, Lisa works with BAG IT’s wonderful volunteers and coordinates and facilitates all aspects of BAG IT’s fundraising events.
Lisa joined the staff in July 2017 and resides in the Phoenix area.
Where to begin…..I was first introduced to BAG IT back around 2004-2005 when the company I worked for put together the binders and bags. After understanding the mission and working hands-on with BAG IT, I fell in love with the company and knew I wanted to be part of the team. So in 2010, I was on board!
I’m kinda the jack of all trades at BAG IT. I officially have my degree in graphic arts, so that makes me the graphic design lady. I also track orders received and that are sent to our distribution office. I keep track of our database, inventory, working with vendors, etc.
In my “free time” (I’m a mom of 2 busy-body girls) I’m also a fitness instructor at the Y, where I teach 3 days a week, kickin’ some booty!
Senior Advisor, Founder, Survivor
Sherri writes grants and directs the annual ESCAPE to Thrive Leadership Conference for Cancer Advocates program. She also serves as an ambassador and mentor.
Forever a teacher, Sherri “retired” from the classroom after 25 years of teaching and founded BAG IT to help educate in a different direction – newly diagnosed cancer patients and their families. Now she has grandchildren to teach…oh, the possibilities are endless!
