Take A Hike For Bag It 2012

The 9th Annual Take a Hike for BAG IT held Sunday, November 18 was a great success! Presented by Arizona Oncology, over 300 people filled the Grand Ballroom at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort after most participated in a multi-level hike or meditation walk enjoying a tasty brunch.

Lively emcee and auctioneer David Fitzsimmons kept us in stitches while our guest speakers, Dr. Thomas Grogan, founder of Ventana Medical Systems, Inc. and Mrs. Cande Grogan, shared with us some poignant moments in their professional and personal cancer journeys.

Our silent auction and raffle featured many unusual and one-of-a-kind items and there were many smiles as attendees walked away with fabulous treasures. Two lucky high bidders at the live auction will be headed to San Diego and Miraval Resort for two night getaways.

Susan Nuhn was especially thrilled when she received our call to let her know that hers was the winning ticket pulled at the Sponsor-A-Bag drawing! Susan won a $500 VISA gift card!

$80,000 was raised by the event….all of which will be used to provide BAG IT at no charge to newly diagnosed cancer patients in Arizona.
